Getting Care
What kind of care do you provide?
We provide non-medical, in-home personal care and support, including help with bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, companionship, and respite for family caregivers. See our Services page for details.
Do you provide nursing or medical care?
Not at this time. Our aides provide non-medical personal care and support. We coordinate with your physician, nurses, and care team so everyone stays informed.
What areas do you serve?
We serve East Feliciana Parish and East Baton Rouge Parish, including communities such as Clinton, Jackson, Slaughter, Wilson, Norwood, Baton Rouge, Zachary, Central, and Baker. If you are nearby and unsure, give us a call.
How quickly can care start?
We contact every new inquiry within one business day to schedule an in-home assessment. After the assessment, we build a care plan and confirm a start date with you. Timing depends on your needs and caregiver availability.
How do I get started?
Call us at (225) 269-4969 or send a message through our Contact page. We will ask a few questions, schedule a free in-home assessment, and walk you through next steps.
Cost and Coverage
How much does in-home care cost?
Cost depends on the type of care and the number of hours needed each week. Your in-home assessment and consultation are free, and we will give you clear pricing before care begins.
Does the VA pay for in-home care?
Many veterans qualify for in-home support through VA programs, such as homemaker and home health aide services arranged through the VA. Eligibility is determined by the VA. We can help you understand the process and coordinate with your VA care team.
Does Louisiana Medicaid cover personal care?
Louisiana Medicaid offers programs that may cover personal care services for eligible members. Eligibility and approval are determined by the state. Contact us and we will help you understand your options.
Does Medicare pay for this type of care?
Medicare generally does not cover ongoing non-medical personal care when it is the only care you need. It may cover short-term skilled home health services ordered by a physician. We are happy to help you sort out what applies to your situation.
Can we pay privately or use long-term care insurance?
Yes. We offer private pay, and many long-term care insurance policies cover in-home personal care. We can provide the documentation your insurer requires.
Our Caregivers
How are your caregivers screened?
Before caring for clients, every caregiver completes our screening and onboarding process:
- Criminal background and reference checks
- Orientation and required state training
- Ongoing supervision and support
Will we have the same caregiver each visit?
We match each client with a consistent caregiver whenever possible, so trust and familiarity can grow. If a change is needed, we will let you know in advance whenever we can.
Can the care plan change over time?
Yes. We review care plans regularly and adjust services and schedules as needs change. Just call us.
